The cord has stainless steel components. I only use supplies that are as eco-friendly as possible.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe pendants are cut out of pure copper sheet metal. I then enamel each piece by a technique called \"sifting\". Enamel is a finely powdered glass that fuses into metal when fired with a torch or kiln at approximately 1500 degree for several minutes. Different colors and effects can be created based on the type of enamel used and various techniques. The gong traces its roots back to the Bronze Age around 3500 BC.  I saw my first gong up close where I trained to be a yoga teacher.   My yoga teacher described it as shortcut to a higher level of consciousness.    I was inspired to design my own little gong to be worn as a necklace.
